Someone sent me this, but because I am not so clever at the technicalities, I messed up with publishing the comment, as it was in the spam box and I think I accidentally deleted it. Anyway, thank you so much, whoever you are. xx
"AS the farce blog continues to maintain they are closing down I thought I'd repost a little aspect of the truth that they found so hard to report i.e. their relative popularity in terms of visitors.

"Nothing ever changes. As you are aware we have decided to wind this blog down due to the subject matter being exhausted yet every time we try to take the blog offline we get requests for it to be re-opened. It has been a great ride over the past 6 months and we have been visited over 193,000 times which is fantastic."
I tried to point out that his claimed popularity was highly unlikely but he did not publish my comment - neither did Ex-Senator Stuart Syvret whose blog came off rather better numbers wise.
By putting the various blog addresses into www.alexa.com, an idea can be gained of traffic/visitors etc.
Currently (December 29th) the Alexa rankings of various local blogs are:
Planet Jersey 6,587,825
Stuart Syvret blog 9,657,418
Zoompad's blog 13,557,053
Voice for Jersey 13,695,010
Nick Palmer's blog 15,857,691
Voice for Protest 16,286,273
Tony's Musings 18,084,685
Ian Evan's blog 24,210,423
Simon Crowcroft's blog 24,309,948
HDLG Farce blog 24,738,209
Dep. Tadier's blog 27,382,423
These rankings vary quite a lot. For example, just before my last post, about 4 weeks ago, I was at about 6,000,000 in the world. During the period when Gazza claimed to have been visited "over 193,000 times" my blog was running about 5,000,000 in the world and the farce blog was at about 18,000,000. I received about 4-5000 unique visitors during this time so the farce blog must have had considerably fewer. Gazza either does not know what he is talking about or he is just a bare faced liar."
