AN AMBASSADOR IN BONDS

The Holy Bible: King James Version. 2000.

The Epistle of Paul the Apostle to the
Ephesians
6

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Col. 3.20

2 Honor thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;

3 that it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. Ex. 20.12 · Deut. 5.16

4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: Col. 3.21 but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

5 ¶ Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;

6 not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

7 with good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:

8 knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free. Col. 3.22-25

9 And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; Col. 4.1 neither is there respect of persons with him. Deut. 10.17 · Col. 3.25

The Whole Armor of God
10 ¶ Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, Is. 11.5 and having on the breastplate of righteousness; Is. 59.17

15 and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Is. 52.7

16 above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, Is. 59.17 and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

19 and for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

20 for which I am an ambassador in bonds; that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

more than 3/4 of the bible are about anything but love and acceptance. Let me give you a few scriptures I happen to have handy that shed light on how your loving God sees me just as a woman, even if I were born again, completely devout, married and never divorced, heterosexual woman. This is just the very tip of the iceberg here, there is SO MUCH MORE where this came from.

But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
1 Corinthians 11:3 (Men are much more important than me. Men are closer to God. I will always be second best no matter how good I am.)

Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
1 Corinthians 14:34-36 (Shut up stupid woman. You don't know anything. If you think you understand something ask your husband at home. He certainly is more intelligent than you and you'll bring shame upon yourself if you so much as open your mouth)

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Ephesians 5:22-23 (Again, women are inferior to men. Also, women are to serve men in everything. We have no say in the matter. We are subject to our husbands in EVERY-THING.)

Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing.
1 Timothy 2:11-15 (Again, shut up stupid women. You screwed man out of a blissful eternity, he did nothing wrong it's the woman's fault. God just keeps you around as a baby making machine and you have no other importance.)

Thanks for posting these comments. Yes, I've read all these passages in the Bible, and asked the same questions. Why would a loving God appear to treat women like rubbish?

I can't answer that, I will have to ask God, because I just don't know why.

The argument is that Eve sucked Adam into sin, by taking forbidden fruit and giving it to her husband. As you rightly point out, women have been placed underneath men by God. God sanctioned the heirarchy, God, man, woman,child, devil. Do you remember the part about the woman's offspring crushing the devil's head?

What I do know is that Jesus Christ treated women with courtesy and respect, in a world that treated women as second class citizens. Jesus chose to reveal himself to a woman when he rose from the dead. He chose to be born via a woman's womb. One of his best friends appears to have been a woman.

I know God doesn't despise women. I don't know what to say about those Bible passages you have posted, why don't you ask God about them? I will too.

I haven't had a very nice day today, because I feel betrayed, by some people I regarded as my friends. I feel quite shattered inside, but before I go to bed I wanted to just add something on this thread, because I felt the Lord was speaking to my heart this afternoon. This is what I felt the Lord was saying to me.

God made man first, and then woman. He made the woman for the man, she was beautiful in every way. God made woman to be beautiful, sweet, lovely to look at and tender hearted. Womb man, the person with the womb, and woman's role was to bear and nurture children. Thats why we ladies have wombs!

Eve was the first to fall to temptation, and she tempted her husband and caused him to sin as well. Like you say, man has blamed woman ever since. There has not been any forgiveness.

There has been this terrible gender war ever since. But God didnt want men to bully and crush women at all!

Those dark days that you point out that are recorded in the Bible. Why would God want women to be treated in such a way? He wouldn't! God hates rape, bullying, arrogance cruelty ect.

But terrible things were happening in those times. People were offering children up to Molech, and worshipping the devil. Those times were not these times, people had rejected God, law, order.

People have turned away from God in these times, and look at the consequences. People are living for self self self and sod everyone else. People step over dying people in the street, because they are in too much of a hurry to help. We are not supposed to be like that, we were supposed to be a family of people, when God created man and woman that is what he had in mind, and now look at us, war war war!

God made women to be gentle and sweet, and women were the ones who were to raise the babies. But all the roles have been twisted all round, the results are not good. Women are now expected to wear the skirt and the trousers, and men feel useless and resentful.

God made women to be loved, but she rebelled against God, she took the forbidden fruit and became as God, she had her eyes opened to good and evil. God put that fruit tree in the garden, but ordered them both not to eat it. But why was it there? Could it be because God intended to share it with hios creation one day? I dont know, but he certainly didnt want them to steal it!

The Bible is a group of ancient books and letters gathered together in one book. God didn't write the Bible, he inspired men to write those words in the Bible. Someone put it into the minds of those men who wrote those books and letters, and Christians believe that it was God.

Some of the books in the Bible are geniology records, some of them are historical accounts, some are poetry and songs, some are eyewitness accounts of the life of Jesus Christ, who Christians believe was God come to live as a human being, and some of the books are prophetic visions of future events.

There is a lot of bloodshed in the Bible, and some of the bloodshed was ordered by God. Some of the horrific massacres were ordered by God, the Bible accounts make that very clear. And the Bible also states that God never changes, that he is the same in all the ages, so how can we understand why Jesus Christ can be the same God who can order men to do such dreadful things?

Until I understood what is going on at the Bohemian Grove I could not understand why God would do such a thing. I didn't realise what human sacrifice was, until I realised what the Secret Family Courts were involved with.

The week I found out about the Bohemian Grove I felt sick, I couldn't stop crying. All the little bits of the puzzle came together for me, and it was just so horrible, I wept and wept. How can people do such wicked things? How can women take part in stealing another womans child, and enlist the authorities in ripping the child from her arms bat maternity hospitals? But they don't understand what bthey are doing, they are blind. They dont even realise that the babies they are helping to steal, for money, are being sent to any Tom Dick and Harry, and some of them are ending up in some of the most terrible places on the face of the earth.

Can you see things from Gods point of view?

Time and time again God made a contract with mankind, and time and time again mankind broke the contract. God always demanded that mankind be faithful to him, and not to worship Satan, but mankind kept breaking that contract. Aggreeing to it, then breaking it. Satanic worship is evil, because Satan demands blood sacrifice, scapegoats. God demands that we obey him, the laws he made, the commandments, no sacrifice of blood, he does not want any of us sacrificing any human being or animal to him. His commandments can be pretty much summed up in one sentance, love one another and love God. It is easy to love God when you realise that Jesus Christ was God come to earth, and realise what sort of man he was. He never married, he knew he was going to be murdered.

None of us are free to do as we please. We all have obligations and responsibilities, as well as our own natural desires. Jesus was the same as us, he was born as a human being, with the same human wants and needs that we have. He might well have wanted to get married, but he knew he was going to be murdered, so how could he have put his wife and children through that trauma? These books and rumours about the blood line of Jesus, they are lies, because Jesus never had any children, he never had sex, he was a virgin when he died. He lived by prophesy, he read the prophesies concerning his own life, and he did not refuse to drink the bitter cup right down to the last dregs.

Zoompad said...

Some people have said that what Jesus did was suicide. How can that be right? Jesus didnt want to be murdered, but he knew that he would be, because he had read the scriptures that prophesied his own birth, and his own death. He knew he was the baby that was born in a stable in Bethlehem under a star, and he spent his life finding out and fulfilling his destiny. He healed people in body and mind, and taught people how to live in harmony and peace with each other, and he was hated and criticised in his own lifetime. He stopped a woman being stoned to death for adultary. The lawyers were furious with him because of him doing things like that, and they were plotting to murder him for a long time before they actually did it, Jesus knew that his murder would be in the capital, that it would be witnessed and sanctioned by the lawyers and the priests, so when he went to Jerusalem and the people cheered and waved banners he knew that the accolades would not last and that he would be subjected to unspeakable cruelty, spitting, mocking and one of the most painful and prolonged execution methods ever invented by wicked men.

Zoompad said...

Our race murdered God. We murdered him, knowing he was innocent of any crime. The lawyers spent years looking for ways to have him brought to trial and executed. The priests turned the other way, they knew the scriptures, but were too cowardly to read them out loud to justify Jesus. The people who witnessed it were fickle and cowardly, even Peter denied knowing Jesus. But the women stood at the foot of the cross and wept. And that is recorded for all time in history.

Do you really think God despises women? Think about it.

The same attitudes that are recorded in the time of Jesus still prevail today.

The church knows all about the baby stealing, Richard Gardner and Ralph Underwager, the secret family courts, the persecutions of whistleblowers and victims of child abuse. I know that because I have told all the leaders of the Church and quite a few vicars and pastors as well. I have had such a half baked response, and an admission from one vicar that he was too scared of losing his livlihood to do anything!

The lawyers, has anything changed there? Look at it! The MOJ is a disgrace, even Ken Clark has admitted that it needs a complete overhaul. I like Ken Clark, at least he is trying to do something, rather than covering stuff up as his predecessors did.

The people. Well, what can I say? Nothing much changed there. People refuse to use their own brains eyes and ears, people witness wrong and wont say a peep. All to quick to close ranks and turn on anyone who doesnt fit in.

Nothing much has changed in 2000 years, God is still the same, human nature is still the same. None of us comes up to the mark, as a race we are all exactly as wicked as we have ever been. God keeps holding out a hand of friendship to us, and we keep spitting in his face and pulling his beard.
